Making a Difference: Family Preservation Outcomes
July 1, 2010-September 30, 2010
Clients Served:
25 children (10 families)
Last year, during the first quarter, we served 20 children (9 families)
Outcomes:
Children will not experience out-of-home placements at close of services:
Target: 85%
Actual: 60%*
*Of the 25 children that completed services, 15 remained in the home at termination. The remaining 10 children remained out of the home for the following reasons:
- 6 children are expected to be reunited with caregivers at their next court hearing. Services ended prior to court date.
- 2 children were in process of being adopted by family members.
- 2 children were in process of adoption due to termination of parental rights.
Families participating in the Intensive Family Preservation program show improvement on at least 3 out of 5 NCFAS scales:
Target: 90%
Actual: 100%
