Operation ELF lets you “play Santa” for Family Service clients who would not otherwise be able to buy gifts or provide a holiday dinner for their families.
How Does it Work?
You purchase gifts for families in need, such as:
– Children’s toys
– Gift cards (Wal-Mart, Target, grocery stores)
– Non-perishable Food or certificates for turkey or ham
– Clothes – hoodies, socks, hats and gloves, pajamas
– Sports equipment
– Educational toys and games
We ask that all gifts be new and unwrapped. You can include a roll of wrapping paper as part of your donation if you wish.
You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
Family Service will arrange wrapping and distribution of your gift(s) based on families’ needs.
Low income families with children aged 0-14. We currently have more than 200 children identified for this year’s program. Most of these children are aged 0-6, with some older children.
All families receiving gifts are actively receiving services from Family Service of the Piedmont, and are not receiving holiday assistance from any other agency.
Please contact Stephanie Allred at (336) 387-6161 x1130, or Stephanie.Allred@fspcares.org for more information.
Last year’s Operation ELF provided 250 children with toys and gifts to make their holidays brighter, as well as gift cards to local grocery and discount stores for adult clients and families in need. With your help, we can do even more in 2013!
On behalf of all the families we serve, we say Thank You Elves!
